What Is The Perfect Essay Format To Start With?
There are many different ways that you can write an essay let alone the amount of ways that you can actually begin an essay. And for starters it all begins with the topic you are writing about as well as the intentions you have on the subject; meaning whether or not you are trying to persuade the audience to agree with your viewpoints or to disagree with your viewpoints.
Even though there are so many different formats when it comes to essays, they all have one thing in common. And that commonality is what you need to know and it is what you need to follow when it comes to writing whatever essay you are writing. This commonality is the basis for any type of essay; descriptive, informative, entertaining and anything else. This commonality is the way that you set up the essay and what types of information is included or not. An example of this format is known as the five body paragraph and it contains of a:
- Introduction
- Body paragraph 1
- Body paragraph 2
- Body paragraph 3
- Conclusion
How does this format work with all kinds of essays?
With most essays the format pretty much explains itself, the introduction is where you first mention what your paper will be about and you will also mention the key factors you are going to cover; think of it like a speech. And the body paragraphs are where you state each one of the key factors that you want to discuss, with each one you talk a little about it and mention whether or not if it is a good aspect. The conclusion is where you restate what your paper is about as well as pretty much summarize what your essay was about and the content that you used to support your viewpoint. Being more specific with an essay that is meant to be like a story, the introduction is still where you start off, you begin somewhere with something and someone, just like the start of any movie or show. The body paragraphs will all be another turning point in your story, it could be an event of some sort; either tragic or amazing or it could be a plot twist. The conclusion is the ending of the story; decide what kind of story you are writing before you begin writing, this way your conclusion will pretty much write itself. If in the end the couple gets married then it is a romantic comedy, if in the end the boy dies it is a tragedy, so on and so forth.
